Georgetown tied the score again on the second play of the second half when Alvin Walker caught a 67-yard touchdown pass from Caleb Hughes.
Three minutes later Socastee went ahead for good on a 2-yard touchdown run from Daquon Brown.
In the second quarter the Braves also got a 30-yard field goal from Ryan Sutton and a 32-yard touchdown pass from Hunter Renfrow to Stephen Gursky.
Lazaroff got his third touchdown of the game on a 32-yard run in the third quarter, and Dakota Morgan caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from Renfrow to wrap up the scoring.
Although Georgetown ran 57 plays and Socastee ran 56, the Braves put up 445 yards of offense to the Bulldogs' 295 yards. Socastee dominated the ground with 372 rushing yards, but Georgetown ruled the air with 160 passing yards.
Socastee's 11 possessions resulted in six touchdowns, one field goal, two turnovers and two punts. The Braves had touchdown drives of 85, 82 and 78 yards.
Michael Billings led Georgetown with 111 rushing yards. Lunsford added 34.
Hughes was 12-for-24 passing for 160 yards and four interceptions. Walker was the leading receiver for Georgetown with 96 yards. Marquez Drayton had 41 yards.
Jordan Ward had 85 yards on kickoff returns for Georgetown and Tarik Tucker added 23.
Ward and Anthony Blair led the Georgetown defense with 13 tackles each. Blair also forced a fumble and had a fumble recovery. Denzell Archie had nine tackles; Keith Collins had seven; Billings and Dominick Wigfall had six each; and Dae'Quan Gibson had an interception.
Georgetown (5-3) hosts Myrtle Beach (7-1) on Friday night. The winner will either be in second place in the region, or tied for first if Socastee loses to Wilson. The Bulldogs wrap up the regular season at Wilson on Oct. 26.
Georgetown is fighting to hang on to one of the top three spots in the region. Due to a change in the S.C. High School League rules this season, only the top three teams in each region in Lower State are guaranteed a playoff spot. The final three playoff spots will be filled from the remaining teams in the four Lower State regions.
