Georgetown dominates Andrews

Georgetown High dominated Andrews and rolled to a 44-0 victory last week.
Georgetown had 430 yards on 64 plays and picked up 25 first downs. Of the Bulldogs' 10 possessions, five ended in a touchdown or field goal.
Andrews had 153 yards on 37 plays and eight first downs. Of the Yellow Jackets' 10 possessions, eight had three plays or less, and three ended in turnovers.
The Andrews defense started strong, forcing a punt and an interception on Georgetown's first two possessions.
"We came out a little bit sluggish, they gave us a different look than what we were expecting. They had a little bit different game plan for us," Bulldogs coach Bradley Adams said. "Once we figured out what they were doing we were able to get things going a little bit, kind of got them back to what we've been game planning for."
Georgetown finally got on the board first with 2:50 left in the first quarter when Caleb Hughes hit Michael Billings from 12 yards out.
The Bulldogs then put the game out of reach in the second quarter with rushing touchdowns from Hughes (eight yards), Julian Lunsford (six yards), and Jordan Ward (48 yards) and a 35-yard field goal from Jackson Britt.
Lunsford added a two-yard touchdown in the third quarter and Michael Billings wrapped up the scoring with a two-yard score in the fourth.
Britt was 5-for-5 on extra points.
Lunsford led Georgetown's ground game with 176 yards and two touchdowns. Ward had 62 yards and one touchdown, Billings had 58 yards and one touchdown and Hughes had 48 yards and one touchdown.
Hughes was 6-for-14 passing for 77 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
A.J. Walker was the leading receiver with 39 yards. Keith Collins had 14 yards, Billings had 12 yards and Lunsford had 12 yards.
Ward led the Georgetown defense with 10 tackles. Marquez Drayton and Cody Floyd had nine tackles each, Juwan Gibbs had seven, and Collins and Anthony Blair had six each.
Floyd also had a sack and blocked a punt, Justin Waring had a fumble recovery, and Billings and Tarik Tucker had interceptions.
Jaleel Filmore led the Andrews offense with 44 yards rushing. Ethan Wright added 12 yards.
Wright was 3-for-11 passing for 99 yards and two interceptions.
Monte McCrea was the leading receiver with 39 yards. Cecil Murphy had 32 yards and Victor Mention had 26.
McCrea also led the Andrews defense with 18 tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Mention had 10 tackles, Colton Fulton had nine tackles and an interception, Johnel Grant and Rivers Cribb had eight tackles each, Filmore had seven, and Antonio McCutchen and Jordan Cantley had six each.
Georgetown (1-1) hosts James Island and Andrews (0-2) hosts Carvers Bay on Friday night.
In other action
De'Shaun Aiken scored 29 points to help Carvers Bay beat St. John's 49-6 last week for its first win of the season.
After the Bears got on the board first with a safety in the first quarter, Aiken ran for two touchdowns - 15 yards and six yards - and returned an interception for a 42-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Aiken also kicked the extra point on all three touchdowns.
Aiken extended the lead with a four-yard touchdown run and a 32-yard touchdown pass to Desmond Sumpter in the third quarter.
Devin Cuttino added an 18-yard touchdown on a fumble recovery and Daquan Wilson added a 21-yard touchdown run. Aiken was 2-for-4 on extra points in the second half.
Aiken was the leading rusher for the Bears with 70 yards. Cuttino had 65 yards, Wilson had 38, and Israel Davis had 21.
Aiken was 3-for-9 passing for 62 yards. Sumpter had 32 yards and Davis had 28.
The Bears (1-1) travel to Andrews on Friday night.
Waccamaw improved to 2-1 on the season with a 22-0 win over Creek Bridge on Monday night.
The game was postponed from Friday night because Creek Bridge's field was unplayable due to last week's rain.
Jalen Simmons had touchdowns in the first and third quarters, and Jeffron Smalls added a touchdown on a 48-yard run in the fourth.
Simmons led the Warriors with 139 yards. Smalls had 64 yards, Raishawn Mitchell had 28 and Travis Pierce had 22.
Jack Monroe was 3-for-4 passing for 70 yards, including a 60-yarder to Rob Ferraro.
Waccamaw (2-1) travels to Timmonsville on Friday night.
