GHS comes from behind to win

Georgetown's play against Johnsonville was the Cinderella story of Saturday's Georgetown Dental Shoot-out.
The Bulldogs host the pre-season tournament each year, and played last in the second night of the tournament.
The Flashes of Johnsonville led from the early minutes of the game and held the Bulldogs back through the first two periods.
But then, the Georgetown team came from behind -- although slowly -- and managed to bite the Flashes by a score of 72 to 66.
Coach Alvin "Stitch" Walker said his boys "didn't quit."
"This is one of the hardest-working group of players I've ever had."
At the end of the first half, the Bulldogs were down 29 to 17.
"We scored 55 points in the second half," Walker said.
"The players have to realize the game has 32 minutes, and not 16."
Players are stepping up to help one another, and need to work more on that, he said.
There were three players who scored in double digits: Avery Evans with 10 points, Marcus Archie had a big spurt and scored 11 points, and Aiswan Nelson had 10 points.
Nelson took charge, Walker said, and was an active participant -- and he's just a sophomore.
Tevin Johnson and Jadia Johnson each scored 9 points.
"We played 14 players tonight," Walker said. "The guys didn't quit."
Even though they were behind by 12 points at the half, and then the Johnsonville Flashes scored the first four points in the second half, the Bulldogs kept at it.
Flashes Coach Harris Avant of Johnsonville said his team only had five practices.
"Our kids fought hard. They are fighters. They give a lot of effort," Avant said.
"We're going to win some ball games this year." He said he thought the team did well for this early in the season.
On Monday, Johnsonville plays Lincoln at 6 p.m. Georgetown will face Waccamaw at 8:30 p.m.
