Mother Nature was kind for most of Election Day 2012 as Georgetown
County residents and millions of Americans voted for everything from the
next president of the United States all the way down to the next county
Clerk of Court.
With 35 of 36 Georgetown County precincts reporting as of 10:40 p.m. A
technical problem with an Andrews precinct is keeping the final numbers
from being posted. We will update when the finals are received.
The school board race between Richard Kerr and Peggy Wheeler-Cribb is
too close to call and a recount will take place.
Austin Beard won his bid for reelection to county council.
Alma White retains the clerk of court seat.
