Georgetown police arrested a member of the Department of Natural Resources for disorderly conduct and an open container violation.
The 55-year-old McClellanville man was at Buzz’s Roost on Front Street Friday night, according to police. Police were called to that location at about 1 a.m. Saturday because of a disturbance.
The man was reportedly told several times he had to leave the restaurant because it was closing for a private party but he kept sneaking back in, according to the report.
After police arrived they report seeing him get in his truck and start the engine. The officers asked the man to get out of his truck and they noticed he smelled of alcohol, the report states. They found an open container of alcohol in his truck, police said.
The man was taken to jail.
DNR spokesman Lt. Robert McCullough said the suspect — a technician at the Santee Coastal Reserve — will remain in his position until the case goes to court.

Two men who were refereeing the Carvers Bay High football game last Friday say while they were on the field, a personal foul was taking place in the locker room.
The two referees — both from Horry County — say they left their regular clothing and their money in a locker in the locker room during the game.
Once the game concluded, they went back to get dressed and discovered someone had stolen their money.
One of the men said $2,000 was taken from his pants pocket which he did not notice until later in the night when he stopped to get something to eat.
The other man said his wallet, containing $40, was taken.
Sheriff’s Office and Georgetown County School officials are investigating but so far there are no suspects.
