The following reports were obtained from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office:
Underwear attack
A man who was arrested at Anvil Bar in Murrells Inlet May 15 is accused of assaulting a corrections officer after arriving at the Detention Center.
The 51-year-old Gallivants Ferry man — who was highly intoxicated and claimed to be a law enforcement officer — was thought to have been involved in a fight at the bar.
He refused to obey repeated requests made by a deputy and used profanity after being told to stop.
He was arrested for disorderly conduct.
At the jail, an officer was trying to give the man a shower. It was then that he took off his boxer shorts and tried to put them over the officer’s head.
The officer blocked him and the man then struck the guard in the face.
Other officer then helped subdue the man and he was placed in restraints.
A marijuana cigarette was found in the shower which, according to the officer, was not there before the man went into the stall.
He was also charged with assaulting an officer and simple possession of marijuana.
Suspicious fire
A fire that caused extensive damage to a house on Jock Trail in Georgetown Saturday morning is believed to have been deliberately set.
The county’s fire inspector told deputies there were no electrical outlets where the fire started.
The house has been vacant for a while, the owner said.
Good Samaritan robbed
A woman who thought she was helping out was the victim of a theft Saturday morning.
The woman was at work in Pawleys Island when two other women walked in. They said they were mother and daughter. The older woman said her daughter is pregnant and needed to use the restroom.
She let the woman go to the back of the store to use the bathroom.
After the women left, the woman discovered her wallet which contained $400 in cash was gone.
A woman who works in a neighboring store said the two women had been inside her business.
One of the victim’s credit cards was used at Piggly Wiggly to make a $300 purchase.
No one has been arrested.
Excessive harassment
A 25-year-old Andrews woman filed a report Monday stating she has been harassed for the past year by a Georgetown woman.
The victim said the suspect calls her over and over on a daily basis. She said there have been some days when the woman calls a hundred times or more.
The caller would, at times, say she hoped the victim and victim’s child would die.
The complainant said she has changed her phone number twice.
The victim said she had enough when the woman started calling her at her job.
Deputies told the woman she would need to see a magistrate about signing a warrant against the suspects.

Taken: Electric saw, drill bits.

Taken: $50 in cash, four packs of cigarettes, 24 cans of beer.
A possible suspect was named but no arrest has been made.
• Lee’s Farmers Market in Murrells Inlet, May 15.
Taken: $2 in change

• Pluff Mudd in Murrells Inlet, May 14.
Taken: A pair of shoes valued at $120
No suspects
• The Fish House in Pawleys Island, May 14.
Taken: 8 cases of beer

Taken: $175 in cash, beer, cigarettes, cigars and some food.
