The following reports were compiled from files at the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office.
“Hard headed” child
A Georgetown woman called a deputy to her home Tuesday afternoon because her 13-year-old son would not listen to her and was “being hard headed,” the report states.
The deputy told the teen he needed to listen to his mother and gave the woman information about contacting the Department of Juvenile Justice, if needed.
Shoplifting spree
A woman got away with more than $3,000 worth of clothing and other items from the Joggling Board in Pawleys Island May 5.
A review of security camera footage shows the woman walking in with a handbag that looks empty. About six minutes later she left the store with the bag that looked “rounded.”
A clerk said they had no idea so many items were taken until they started looking around the store taking inventory.
At least 10 dresses were stolen by the woman.
Alcohol on campus
While checking vehicles in the parking lot of Georgetown High School Friday, a police officer saw a cooler containing a a six-pack of beer in the bed of a truck that did not have a parking sticker.
The owner of the truck — an 18-year-old student — said the cooler belonged to a friend — another 18-year-old student — and he had no idea what was inside the cooler.
The owner of the cooler admitted it was his and he was ticketed for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
Weapons on campus
A 14-year-old Rosemary Middle School student with a long list of discipline problems was charged with having weapons on campus last Thursday.
After receiving a tip, school administrators called the girl to the office and asked her to empty her pocketbook. Inside was a hammer and a knife with a 3-inch long blade.
She said she brought the weapons to protect herself because she had heard she was going to be attacked by a group of students who had “jumped” her sister the previous day.
The teen’s discipline file includes 17 different offenses such as tardiness, truancy, disrespect and refusal to obey.
Bar attack
A 27-year-old Andrews man suffered a laceration on his arm during an attack while he was at the Take a Break club on Morgan Ave. Sunday night.
The man said he was at the club having a beer when he saw a man trying to start a fight with everyone.
When the suspect walked up to the victims, the two started punching each other. During the struggle, the suspect cut the victim with an unknown object.
The man drove himself to the hospital for treatment. He said he does not know his attacker.
No arrest has been made.

• 3300 block of County Line Road, Andrews, May 7.
Taken: Television, Playstation, gold necklace, gold ring, $50 in change.

Baby, just answer this for Lula. Why did you call the police on your child? Listen to me good. The next he gets hard headed- you take a stick and beat the hell out of him. Then he will have a soft rump. See, they go together- Hard head-soft rump. I won't charge you for that one. Can somebody please tell Pastor not to preach so long next Sunday.
