FUNERAL SERVICES
Martin Meredith
Martin Wesley Meredith, 74, of Greenville, S.C. died Monday, August 30, 2010 at Brighton Gardens of Greenville.
Mr. Meredith was born in East Orange, N.J. on December 14, 1935, a son of the late Everett Wesley Meredith and Margaret Elizabeth Jones Meredith.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and retired with the rank of Major in 1980.
Afterwards, Mr. Meredith was a teacher at Socastee High School until 1999.
He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Ann Meredith.
Surviving are: a daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Sipe (Christopher) of Simpsonville; a son, Martin Wesley Meredith, Jr. (Angie Cope) of Charlotte, N.C.; and four grandchildren, William Harrison Sipe and Meredith Ellen Sipe, both of Simpsonville, and Alexandra Cope Meredith and Wesley Owen Meredith, both of Charlotte.
Graveside services with military honors will be on Friday afternoon, September 3, 2010 at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens at one o’clock.
Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Karen P. Barrineau.

Family and friends will meet at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home before the service at twelve-thirty on Friday afternoon.
