FUNERAL SERVICES

Cheryl Brown-Byrd

Cheryl Brown-Byrd, 53, of Pawleys Island, SC, died on Monday, March 1, 2010 in Myrtle Beach, SC from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services for Mrs. Byrd will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Bethel AME Church, Georgetown. Burial will follow in Morning Glory Cemetery.

Mrs. Byrd was born October 2, 1956 in Pawleys Island, SC to Richard T. Brown, Sr. and Mrs. Katheryn Sessions Brown.

She attended Georgetown County Public Schools and graduated from Howard High School, Georgetown, SC.

She was a member of House of the Risen Son and worked as a deli server at Harris Teeter for fourteen years.

Mrs. Byrd is survived by her husband, David E. Byrd of Pawleys Island, SC; her children: David Byrd, Jr., Cynthia Shepard and Anitra Shepard all of Pawleys Island, SC; her brother, Richard T. Brown, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC and Sister, Carol Ann Gamble of New York, NY.

Family visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday evening, December 16, 2009 at Wilds Courtyard Chapel.

Funeral service arrangements are entrusted and directed by Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.

Dorlena Scott

Dorlena “Tee Tot” Tiona Scott of Andrews died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston.

Funeral services for Ms. Scott will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Tabernacle House of Prayer, 100 Seaboard Street, Georgetown.

Burial will follow in Morning Glory Cemetery.

Ms. Scott was born September 19, 1982 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, N.Y.

She attended schools in Williamsburg and Georgetown counties.

She is survived by her mother, Diane Cuttray of Georgetown; her father, Stanley Scott of Rochester, N.Y.; her daughter, JaKya N. Dennison; her son, Xavian T. Dennison of Georgetown; her great-grandfather, Willie F. Smith; her grandparents, Gladys Rogers, Sam Scott, Clarence Dearring and Rose Dearring, all of Rochester, N.Y.; seven sisters, Tanya Elliott, LaTascha Knight, Ja’Landa Cuttray, La’Toyia Legette, Ja’Neyia Rice, Elizabeth Scott, Tina Russell and Janice McCullough; her step-sister, Latoyia Shaw; three brothers, President Scott, Anthony Campbell and Andre Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Linen-Knox Funeral Home.
