FUNERAL SERVICES

Jo Bach

Jo Doolittle Bach, 83, of Pawleys Island, formerly of Circleville, Ohio passed away July 17, 2010 with her daughters at her side.

Born in Lodi, Ohio, June 29, 1927, she was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lulu Doolittle; her husband, Carl Mayo Bach; and her sisters, Beverly, Doris, and Bunny.

Her many interests included her work with the Berger Hospital Gift Shop, The Humane Society, friends of the library and her church in Circleville, Community United Methodist.

Jo is survived by two daughters, Holly Bach Poteet and Jill M. Bach; sister-in-law; Medreth Bingham; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis Animal Center, 125 Ridge Street, Georgetown, SC 29440 or to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 333 N. Summit Street, Toledo, Ohio. 43604.

A memorial service will be held July 25, 2010 at the Community United Methodist Church, 120 N. Pickaway St., Circleville, Ohio.

Mrs. Bach's daughters wish to thank Heartland Hospice for their caring assistance, NHC for their professional and caring staff and Pawleys Retreat neighbors for their friendship and concern.

Sidney Bellamy

Mr. Sidney Bellamy, 80, 44 Trillium Loop, Andrews, SC, Mr. Bellamy departed this life on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday Mt. Zion AME Church in the Bloomingvale Community of Andrews, with Rev. McNeil Evans, officiating. 

Burial follows in the Church Cemetery under the direction of McKnight-Fraser Funeral Homes.

Viewing/visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at W.J. McKnight & Son Chapel.

Mr. Bellamy, the son of the late of Sam Green and Rosa Pet Bellamy was born August 12, 1929 in Tabor City, NC.

He attended the public schools of North Carolina and was a member of Mt. Zion AME Church.

Survivors are his wife, Bertell J. Bellamy, Andrews, SC; six children, Margaret Green, Sidney Bellamy Jr. of Andrews, SC, Cleo Green, Hemingway, SC, Jimmy Bellamy, Nesmith, SC, Jacqueline Bellamy and Mary Grant of Andrews, SC; two sisters, Irene Johnson, Helen Frink of Chadbourn, NC; one brother, Chadbourn, NC; 23 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.

Charles Cooper

Funeral services for the late Charles R. Cooper will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, 2010 at Jeremiah UM Church in Hemingway, SC.

Rev. Geneva Stafford, pastor will conduct the religious services.

Internment will follow in the James Swamp Cemetery.

Mr. Cooper entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at his residence in Hemingway after an illness.

He was born in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Stasher and Tencher Cooper.

He was educated in Cooper Rural School in Williamsburg County. He continued his education at Claflin College.

Mr. Cooper was a member of Jeremiah UM Church.

He was retired from Wellman, Inc. in 1988 after 16 years.

He was joined in holy wedlock to Lora Bell Lewis and they were blessed with three children.

Loving memories will be cherished by his wife of Hemingway; two sons, Elgent Cooper of Winston-Salem, NC, Spencer (Shirley) Cooper of Ann Arbor, MI; two daughters, Ester (Gregory) Mouzon and Eva Christion, both of Hemingway; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.

Mildred Hudson

Mrs. Mildred L. Hudson, 68, of 4227 Georgetown Highway, Andrews, SC.  Mrs. Hudson departed this life on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Mt. Lebanon AME Church in Andrews, SC with Rev. Virgil Hammett, officiating.

Burial followed in Bethel Cemetery in the Kent Community under the direction of McKnight-Fraser Funeral Homes.

Mrs. Hudson was the daughter of the late Emory Cumbee and Lou Ellen McKnight Cumbee. She was born March 21, 1942.

She attended Georgetown County Schools and was a member of St. Andrews AME Church, where she served on numerous organizations.

Survivors are her husband, Felix Hudson Sr., Andrews, SC; two sons, Felix Hudson Jr., Andrews, SC and Vincent Hudson, Irmo, SC; five daughters, Ramona Hudson, Andrews, SC, Rosalyn Hudson, Jacqueline Hudson, Felicia Hudson Gamble all of Columbia, SC and Leslie Hudson Bennett, Rock Hill, SC; 7 grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann Boyd, Andrews, SC; and two brothers, Jonathan Cumbee, Andrews, SC, and Edward Cumbee, Hartsville, SC.
