DEATH NOTICE

Elias Moore, age 87, of Hemingway, S.C.

FUNERAL SERVICES

JohnL Elliott

JohnL Lewis Elliott, 91, of Hemingway, S.C., departed this life on July 15, 2012.

Born March 30, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Emory and Lila Carter Lewis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday July 18, 2012 in the Good Hope United Methodist Church.

Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

The casket lay in state at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012.

Married for 57 years to the late Freddie Elliott, she is survived by two sons, Don and Betty of Sumter, S.C. and Barry and Sally of Pinehurst, N.C.

There are five grandchildren, Vince (Caroline) Elliott of Lexington, S.C., Colette (Frank) Fehle of Isle of Palms, S.C., Tracie (Jason) Eckenstein of Columbia, S.C., Lindsay (Patrick) Augustine of Fayetteville, N.C., and Lee (Therese) Elliott of Columbia, S.C.

There are six great-grandchildren, Jessica, Baxley, Chandler, Isabella, Jim and Addy; and a beloved sister-in-law, Jimmie Lewis.

In addition of her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Milford Lewis.

The family wishes to thank the staff at National Health Care and Hospice Care of the Tri County in Sumter, S.C. for the loving care given to Ms. Elliott during the completion of her life’s journey.

Winley Geathers

Winley Geathers of Georgetown, S.C. died on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, directed by Linen-Knox Funeral Home.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Geathers was born on January 13, 1952 in Georgetown, a son of Patterson and Anna Dell Geathers.

He attended Choppee High School and was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Teresa Reed of Georgetown, Denetra Geathers and Sheena Geathers, both of Jacksonville, Fla; two sons, Dontaye West and Kevin Geathers, both of Georgetown; four sisters, Yvonne Linnen and Eva Geathers, both of Georgetown, Eliza Williams of Rochester, N.Y. and Mary Ann Geathers of Syracuse, N.Y.

Emma Jackson

Emma Grace Jackson, infant daughter of Nolan F. Jackson and Sara M. Jackson, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Survivors include her mother and father of Murrells Inlet; maternal grandparents, Russell and Janalyn Miles of Lake City; paternal grandparents, Gary and Sharon Jackson of Pleasant Hill; paternal great grandparents, M.L. and Roberta Cribb of Georgetown; paternal great-great grandmother, Thelma Cribb of Georgetown; one uncle, Brent Miles of Lake City; and one aunt, Courtney Gray of Pleasant Hill.

Services will be private.
