FUNERAL SERVICES

Sally Brown

Sally Brown, 87 of the Pee Dee Community, Georgetown, South Carolina died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital, Georgetown, SC.

Funeral services for Ms. Brown were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at St. Paul AME Church.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Ms. Brown was born November 21, 1922 in Georgetown, South Carolina to Gillien Brown and Rosetta Marsh Brown.

She was a retired housekeeper and a member of Trinity AME Church, where she served as a member of the Stewardess Board.

She is survived by her niece and nephew who she reared as her children: Claudia Wright and Rev. Roscoe Brown of Georgetown, SC; her sister, Candace White of Georgetown, SC; a niece who was reared as a sister, Annie Pearl Walker of Georgetown, SC; and six grandchildren.

Funeral service arrangements are entrusted and directed by Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.

Wilbur Doggette

Wilbur Curtis Doggette of Pawleys Island died Thursday afternoon, July 8, 2010 at Tidelands Community Hospice in Georgetown, SC.

Born January 6, 1936 in Mobile, Ala., he was the son of the late W.C. and Bonnie King Doggette.

He was retired from Wangner Systems where he was vice president of sales and service.

He attended the Citadel and Coastal Carolina University and spent his professional career in the paper industry, starting at International Paper in 1958.

Curtis was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was predeceased by a son, W.C. Doggette Jr., and a daughter, Pamela Paige.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Peggy Baine Doggette of the home; a daughter, Rhonda D. Slough and her husband David of Pawleys Island; two grandsons, Alan Sorell and Jake Slough; three sisters, Elizabeth D. Bernardin of Georgetown, Garnet D. Aitchison of Columbia and Ellen D. Schulken (Herb) of Washington, D.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church with The Reverend Dr. B. Mike Alexander Jr. officiating.

Entombment will be held at Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 1 p.m.
