FUNERAL SERVICES
Antonio Holmes Jr.
Mr. Antonio "A. T." Holmes Jr., 49, of 87 Antonio Drive in the Brown's Ferry Community of Georgetown, SC, departed this life Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services were held 1 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2010 at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in the Brown's Ferry Community, Georgetown, SC with Rev. Dr. Howard D. Davis, Pastor.
Burial followed in the Church Cemetery, under the direction of McKnight-Fraser Funeral Homes.
Mr. Holmes son of the late Antonio (A. T.) and Alafair R. Holmes, was born August 24, 1960, he attended Georgetown County Schools, she was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors are, his wife, Lucinda Holmes, Nesmith, SC, his son, Antoine Holmes, Nesmith, SC; three daughters, Shana McKnight, Devona Holmes and D' Asia Holmes; his mother, Alafair R. Holmes, Georgetown, SC; his siblings, Alden L. Holmes, Jessie L. Fields, Roscoe Holmes, Claude Holmes, Patricia Lasane, Calpurnia Britton and Tyana Holmes; four grandchildren.
William Turner
Funeral services for William Lewis Turner, 80, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Washington Street United Methodist Church with interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
Mr. Turner was born July 2, 1929 in Columbia to Clifford Otto Turner and Lucie Mae Savage and passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010.
He is survived by his brother, Clifford Otto Turner, Jr. of Cayce. Mr. Turner attended AC Moore Grammar School, Hand Jr. High
School and the old Columbia High School on Washington Street. Mr. Turner graduated from the University of South Carolina School with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Mr. Turner joined the Naval Reserve in 1948 as a commissioned Ensign USNR.
In 1951 he received his orders to active duty and was assigned to the USS Wren DD568, a WWII destroyer.
He later served in Naples, Italy. In 1953, he was released from active duty and joined Ford Motor Division in Charlotte, NC as a traveling representative.
In 1961, Ford transferred Lewis to Corporate Headquarters in Dearborn, MI.
After several years in Michigan he transferred to Columbia and finished his tenure with Ford in 1972 at Pulliam Ford in Columbia.
From 1972 until 1985, Mr. Turner was involved in the design and manufacture of marine engines and other consulting projects that were related to the marine industry.
From 1985 until 1989, he worked for Colite Industries as an engineer responsible for the design/manufacturer of signs for some of the most prestigious airport signage systems in the US as well as the Middle East.
In 1989, Mr. Turner was the sole engineering consultant to produce signs for several major projects in the Emirate/Abu Dhabi. In 1992 until 2009, he was a consultant for Transco, Inc.
Mr. Turner was instrumental in the design/building of a dozen products that have been an integral part of Transco’s success.
Mr. Turner was a member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church in Columbia, the American Legion Chapter in Irmo and Rotary International. He was involved in national and local antique automobile clubs for the past 40 years.

Debra Wragg
Debra Wragg of the Sampit Community in Georgetown County, died on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11am on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Cumberland AME Church, Pennyroyal Road.
The eulogy will be delivered by Rev. Rose Goodwater, pastor of the church. Burial follows at the church's cemetery.
The 52 year old Ms. Wragg was born in Georgetown, SC and graduated from Andrews High School, Andrews, SC.
She did further study at College of Charleston, Charleston, SC, and earned an associate's degree in business management from Horry Georgetown Technical College.
For a number of years she worked at Belk department store in Georgetown and in recent years in the customer service division at Plantation Federal Bank, Pawleys Island, SC.
Surviving are a daugter, Malita Leslie Britton, granddaughter, Ava S. Britton; her parents, Luechen Wragg and Wilhelmena White Wragg, all of Georgetown; her siblings: Luechen Wragg, Jr., of Kingstree, SC, Mark S. Wragg, Audrey Fielding and Valeria Wragg, all of Georgetown, Leonard G. Wragg of Greensboro, NC, Jean Johnson of Richmond, VA, Melissa Barrett of Charlotte, NC.
Arrangements are entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
