Don Alpaugh

Don K. Alpaugh, 74, of Pawleys Island died Friday, January 15, 2010 at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, SC.

Mr. Alpaugh was born in Somerville, NJ. A son of the late Kenneth and Arlene Alpaugh.

He was a graduate of Cornell University class of 1958 were he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

He was a member of Theta Delta Chi Fraternity Mr. Alpaugh was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Alpaugh was a member of All Saints Church in Pawleys, Island, SC.

Surviving are his wife, Joan Alpaugh of 46 years of marriage; A son: Jeffrey S. Alpaugh and wife Larisa and their children, Harrison, Lindsey, Laurel, Haley, and Landon; A son: Christopher S. Alpaugh and wife Lisa and their children, Emma, Henry, and Jackson.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at All Saints Old Church in Pawleys Island, SC. Directed by goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 1332 N. Halsted Street, Chicago, Il. 60642-2642.

Priscilla Evans

Priscilla Evans, 59, of Georgetown died on January 15, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Evans was born on August 15, 1950 in Georgetown, SC, a daughter of Mrs. Helen G. Wilson and Ambrose Wilson.

She graduated from Howard High School and was a retired housekeeper.

Funeral services for Mrs. Evans will be held 1 pm Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with burial following at Morning Glory Cemetery under the direction of Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the Wilds Courtyard Chapel.

She is survived by her  mother: Helen Wilson of Georgetown; one son: Paul Christopher Evans, Richmond, VA; five daughters: Gwendolyn Gibson-Frasier, Richmond, VA, Undria Wilson, Charlotte, NC, Tonya Stewart, Moncks Corner, SC, Yvette Evans, Georgetown, SC, and Paulette Evans, Columbia, SC; two brothers: Ambrose Wilson, Jr. Georgetown, SC, and Keddrick Wilson, Atlanta, GA; three sisters: Willie Mae Bryant, New York, NY, Mary H. Roberts and Debra Bishop-Vincent both of Charlotte, NC; husband: Paul Evans of Georgetown; and her special friend, Ricky Nesmith of Nesmith, SC.

Vernol ‘Buster’ Hannah

Mr. Vernol Leroy "Buster" Hannah, 56, of 510 Pope Street, Andrews, SC, departed this life on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Andrews with Rev. Dr. Eddie Gamble, Jr., officiating.

Burial follows in the Church Cemetery under the direction of McKnight-Fraser Funeral Homes.

Mr. Hannah, son of the late  Willie and Lydia Hannah, was born March 31, 1953 in Georgetown, SC.

He attended Georgetown County Schools and was a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, he served on the Adult Choir.

Survivors are four sisters, Wilhelmena Wragg, Georgetown, SC, Elizabeth Smith, Evangelist Alberta Hall of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Barbara Jean McCray, Andrews, SC; two brothers, Dea.  James Hannah and Willie Lee Hannah of Andrews, SC; two step-sisters, Mattie Rivers and Margaret Giles, Andrews, SC.

Treesa Hendricks

Treesa Michelle (Bump) Hendricks, 40, of Crossville, Tenn. passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010.

She was born December 21, 1969 in Oil City, Pa.

Mrs. Hendricks was the daughter of Richard Glenn Bump and Rebecca M. (Harper) Bump Mescher.

She was a homemaker and a member of Believer’s Fellowship Church in Crossville.

She attended Tennessee Technology Center in Athens, Tenn., Cleveland State Technical Community College in Cleveland, Tenn.

Mrs. Hendricks was majoring in computerized drafting and technical design.

She made the first class rings to become available at Knoxville Adaptive Education Center in Knoxville, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Graham Bump of Andrews, SC and her father.

Surviving are her husband, Errol John Hendricks of Crossville; three sons, Christopher David Renfro (Katy) of Waco, Texas, and Michael Graham Renfro and Timothy Albert Bump, both of Crossville; her mother of Andrews; and her grandmother, Pauline Marsh Graham of Georgetown.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Santee Cooper’s employee building on Penny Royal Road.

Officiating will be Rev. Cheryl Lambert.

Sheina Wilson

Sheina Latoya Wilson, 30, died on January 13, 2010.

She was born on August 23, 1980 in Georgetown, SC. 

Sheina, fondly called “Toya,” graduated from Waccamaw High School in 1999 and was a member of Wells Spring Community Church of Socastee, SC.

She worked as a mail carrier at the Murrells Inlet Post Office.

Funeral services were  held 1 pm on Monday, January 18, 2010 at Pawleys Island Community Church, Ocean Highway, Pawleys Island, SC under the direction of Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.

The eulogy was delivered by Rev. Anthony Green, pastor of Wells Spring Community Church.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Dale Wilson Smalls of Pawleys Island, SC; her children, Yancy Bryant, Amira Stallworth, and Katina Bryant; and her siblings, Augustus Wilson, Ernest Smalls, Jr., Shannon B. Smalls.
