FUNERAL SERVICES

Judy Edwards

Judy Turner Edwards, 57, of Andrews, SC passed away Monday, August 9, 2010.

Ms. Edwards was originally from Latta, SC and was the daughter of the late Roland P. Turner and Mary H. Turner of Latta, SC.

She is survived by her three daughters, Cynthia D. Crowley of Latta, SC, Margaret E. Altman of Andrews, SC, and Laura L. Edwards of Boston, MA; one sister, Sylvia Skipper, and one brother, Mitchell Turner, both of Latta, SC; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

 A memorial service for Ms. Edwards will be held Monday, August 16, 2010 at 4 p.m. at New Life Assembly in Dillon, SC.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.

Jennie Reed

Jennie “Nuggie” Nexsen Reed, 84, of Andrews entered into eternal rest August 10, 2010 at Prince George HealthCare in Georgetown.

Mrs. Reed was born in Andrews on April 22, 1926, a daughter of the late Ralph D. Nexsen and Lurline K. Nexsen.

She grew up in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School in 1944.

Mrs. Reed worked in the dry cleaning business on Main Street in Andrews for 50 years.

She was a member of Rosemary Chapter # 195, Order of the Eastern Star and a life-long member of Andrews Presbyterian Church.

Jennie loved people and never met a stranger.

Mrs. Reed was predeceased by her husband, Russell B. Reed.  She is survived by many cousins and dear life-long friends.

Graveside services will be on Friday morning, August 13, 2010, at Andrews Memorial Cemetery at eleven o’clock.  Officiating will be the Rev. William Clinton Stockton.

The family will receive friends prior to the service Friday morning at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
