Georgetown police are looking for two men believed to have injured a woman during a robbery that occurred at around 11 a.m. Monday.

The incident took place at 1222 Church St., according to Police Capt. Nelson Brown.

“Two black males knocked on the victim’s door and forced their way into the home,” Brown said.

When the victim opened the door she saw one man was armed with a handgun and the other suspect was armed with a box cutter.

“Once inside the residence they demanded money from the 56-year-old male victim and 31-year-old female victim,” said Brown. “When the female victim did not comply with the suspects’ demands they forced her to a back bedroom and cut her on her back until she told them where the money was.”

He said the suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

They are described as black males 20 to 30 years of age, 5'10" to 6' tall, 200 to 215 pounds and 5'8" to 5'9" tall, 180 pounds. Both suspects had on jeans with a black hoodie and a mask.

The female victim was transported to the Georgetown Memorial Hospital and was treated and released.
