A Georgetown man, arrested last week for criminal sexual conduct in the third degree, is out of jail under a $40,000 bond.
Georgetown Police Capt. Nelson Brown says 48 year old Calvin Lee Kinloch of Dawson Street surrendered on Aug. 17.
A report was filed with police May 15 accusing Kinloch of sexually assaulting a 16 year old female who was in foster care at his residence at the time, Brown said.
According to the report, when a police officer arrived at the home, the 16 year old walked outside and “immediately began smoking a cigarette.” The officer asked her to put it out, which she did “in an agitated manner.”
When asked what happened, the teen said Kinloch bought her the cigarettes and when he handed them to her, he “tried to force himself on her” but she ran out of the house and then called police.
During a later interview with police, the teen said Kinloch kissed her and then took her into a bedroom where he allegedly molested her.
She said after he molested her, she asked him if he was finished and he allegedly said “yeah, whatever. I have to go pick up the kids.”
When police asked her about why there were some inconsistencies in her story during the two interviews, she said “I just let him do what he wanted to do because I have been abused by my father before.”
When police spoke with the teen’s biological mother, she said her daughter is a “compulsive liar” who has made allegations in the past that she was abused by her biological father.
“But those incidents were all unfounded,” the woman reportedly told police.
She said her daughter was placed in the foster home on May 11, four days before the alleged incident took place.
The woman told police she is afraid to know what her daughter may have done to even have a cigarette in her possession because she is not supposed to have access to cigarettes or a phone, the report states.
Police are asking anyone who may have any information about the case to contact Sgt. Keith Small at 843-545-4300.
