The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who severely injured a female security guard at a business in the Yauhannah Community early Sunday.

The incident occurred at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday as the 58 year old Myrtle Beach woman — who works security at 701 Club, next to Terry’s Fish House — was attempting to break up a fight.

She was hit on the left side of the head by a man who immediately fled the scene in a vehicle occupied by another man.

The victim was unresponsive when deputies and EMS arrived. She was first transported to Georgetown Memorial Hospital where it was determined she was suffering from a brain bleed.

She was then transported to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Her condition is currently unknown.

An employee of 701 Club said it was the first time the suspect had been in the club but it’s believed he lives in Horry County.
