A 31 year old Lambertown man remained in jail Friday, one day after he was arrested for allegedly attempting to break into a home on Windsong Drive.

Cicero Manuel Lambert, of Dawhoo Lake Drive, had not yet received a bond, according to the latest update from the County Detention Center. He is charged with four counts of Degree Burglary.

A woman said she was on her golf cart at around noon Thursday when she saw Lambert walking around her sister’s house so she drove to get help from her husband and brother in law.

When Lambert saw the two men, he reportedly ran in the woods while the woman was telling her husband to shoot him.

Lambert was able to run through the woods but was spotted by a deputy as the officers were searching the area.

When backup units arrived, they went in the woods and reportedly found Lambert in a ditch.

He was taken into custody and was searched. Officers found a pair of gloves, a flashlight and a pocket knife in his pockets.

The screen had been removed from a  window of the home where Lambert was spotted and there was evidence the window had been pried open.

While en route to jail, Lambert reportedly said the people out there wanted to kill him and reminded the deputy about the woman who was asking her husband to shoot him.

Lambert is a suspect suspect in three other incidents that occurred this week in Lambertown.

On Thursday, a 73 year old man from Evert Drive said he was away from home from about 11:30 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. When he returned he noticed someone had used what he believes was a screwdriver to try to pry open a door.

Another house on Evert Drive was broken into Monday and a witness reported seeing Lambert walking away from that property. Nothing was reported missing.

On Tuesday, a woman form the 6800 block of Walker Road said her house was broken into sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

It appears entry was made through a bathroom window. Nothing was reported to be missing.

A neighbor reported seeing Lambert at that house as well.
