GEORGETOWN, S.C. — Friends of the Waccamaw High teenager who was struck by a vehicle while walking on Litchfield Drive Saturday night have opened a bank account to help the family with expenses.
The account for the family of 16-year-old Jasonn Russell has been established at Conway National Bank.
On Thursday, Russell remained in critical condition at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
The money is expected to help Russell's family continue to stay in Charleston while he is in the hospital.
Donations can be made to the "Benefit for Jasonn Russell" at any Conway National Bank branch, or they can be mailed to Conway National Bank, P.O. Box 2490, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
Thomas Gallagher, 18, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident with bodily injury in connection with the incident.
