Boil and Stump set for Sept. 17 in Georgetown

Georgetown, S.C. — On Sept. 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kaminski House Grounds, all local candidates have been invited to participate in the Annual Boil & Stump, sponsored by the Coastal Carolinas Association of Realtors.

The Boil & Stump is a non-partisan event.  Each candidate will be given the opportunity to talk about why they are running for office, the needs of this community, and their vision for the future of our community.

This is a great opportunity to better understand the choices offered us in November.

We often take this responsibility and privilege for granted.

Winston Churchill once said “The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.”

Make sure your vote is cast for the candidate that best represents your vision and values.

Don’t be an average voter, be an informed, educated voter.

In the event of rain, the event will be held in the Beck Recreation Center on Church Street.

We have the great privilege and even greater responsibility to elect our leaders – leaders that should reflect the vision of the citizenry; leaders that place the good of the community, the future of the community, above all else.

“Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.”

– John F. Kennedy
