GEORGETOWN, S.C. —  The BEACH Singers, a group of gifted and talented choral students from around Georgetown County, will be the featured act for a very special production this weekend in Georgetown.

To be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Strand Theatre on Front Street, this show is called “A Little BEACH Music.”

The BEACH Singers will sing Beach music favorites like “Under The Boardwalk,” “This Magic Moment” and “Just My Imagination,” along with classic Rock-n-Roll songs like “Ticket To Ride,” “Hey Jude” and “Brown Eyed Girl.”

Guest performers include Randy Gamble, a former BEACH singer, Marisa Cooper, Ruth Reames, Grace Brock and members of First Baptist Church.

Also performing will be a local band called Three Way, which has Pawleys Island roots from the mid 1960s.

Johnny Huggins, Ted Laurento and Jimmy Chandler performed together as The Collectors at Pawleys Pavilion in the spring of 1966 and 1967.

In the 1970s, Huggins and Laurento joined with Mark Staten to form Three Way.

After years apart, Three Way reformed in 2008 and Chandler joined the group.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door, or by contacting Olivia Huggins at oliviahuggins@hotmail.com.
