100-plus member youth choir to perform Friday night

A choir made up of young people from across rural Georgetown County will come together Friday nigtht to perform during a youth revival in the Pleasant Hill area.
Veronica Owens, youth choir director at Freedom Tabernacle Church has combined choirs from a dozen different churches who will be on hand for the service which begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday night.
“The Lord laid it on my heart so I called all the youth choir leaders in the area,” she said. “I received a great response.”
More than 100 young people of different races will make up the choir during the performance.
The youth revival, headed by Rev. Jimmy Perdue, continues through the weekend at the church located on Ray Road.
