Response to Mr. Gates

I don’t hear anyone denying that there MAY be a global warming trend, although there has been NO warming in 14 years!

What I hear is doubt that man is causing it! There has been and will continue to be cooling and warming trends on earth. Ever hear about the Ice Age?  History did not begin when the pencil was invented to record it.

It is naive and shortsighted to believe that history began when man began to record it. Ice corings and tree ring data have proven to be very limited sources of information.

The United Nations Climatologist just announced that the temperature data collected world wide was faulty because he had not moved the temperature recording devices away from heat producing developments that sprang up near many of them. The press is full of recently uncovered information rebuking data used to proclaim “man made global warming.”

If you want the support of the whole nation for this issue, be truthful and stop the scare tactics. 30 U.S. Military installations are “facing elevated levels of risk from rising sea levels”?? Really? Are they located on a different planet?  I think that if one ocean rises that they would all rise? There may be erosion which occurs at some point on every sea shore, but rising levels? Come on!
