The following reports were collected  from local law enforcement offices:

Trespass problems

A woman from East Stamper Street in Andrews said she received a visit Dec. 8 from a 51-year-old woman who “has a crush” on her husband.

The suspect reportedly wanted to speak with the woman’s husband.

The victim said this has happened several times in the past and the suspect has been placed on trespass notice by police.

The suspect ignored the victim when she told her to leave until the victim started dialing 911.

The victim was advised to see a magistrate.

Brotherly brawl

Two brothers from Wesley Road in Murrells Inlet had been drinking all night Dec. 8 got into an argument when one of them “started getting mouthy with their mother and threatened to kill himself with a knife,” the report states.

The fight between the brothers — ages 24 and 26 — started when the younger man tried to take the knife from his older brother.

He was able to get the knife away from his brother and threw it in the yard.

That’s when his younger brother started hitting him.

As they were fighting, their mother’s finger was accidentally slammed in a door.

No arrests were made

Scam reported

An 82-year-old Pleasant Hill area woman said two men stopped by her house Dec. 9 saying they were selling Medicare insurance.

The men tried to convince the woman she had made an appointment with them, which she knows was not true.

The woman’s caregiver said the men asked to go in the house to use a restroom.

When they saw they probably not be able to convince the woman to buy one on their “policies” they turned their attention to her caregiver trying to get her to buy.

They left about ten minutes later.

The caregiver said the men never said who they work for and she gave deputies the license tag number from the car they were driving.

It was registered to a man in Anderson, S.C.

Roommate dispute

A woman from Egret Run in Pawleys Island said she and another woman have been renting a home together since April but recently her boyfriend started living with them.

She said her roommate demanded he start paying rent which led to an argument.

The suspect hit the victim on top of the head with her hand “two or three times.” There were no visible injuries and the victim did not press charges.

Thrown nightstand

A 43-year-old Murrells Inlet man said he and his girlfriend got into an argument Dec. 10 and she picked up a nightstand and threw it at him, striking him on the back.

The woman, who does not live with her boyfriend, was apparently intoxicated so the deputies would not let her drive. They gave her a ride to a nearby convenience store where she called someone to pick her up and take her home.

She was placed on trespass notice and was told she could not return to her boyfriend’s house unless he extended an invitation.

Dogs kill cat

A cat belonging to a woman from Wesley Road in Murrells Inlet was killed by a neighbor’s dogs Dec. 8.

When an animal control officer arrived, he did not see any dogs running loose, the report states.

The woman said she followed the dogs to a nearby mobile home park and then watched as the two animals ran into some woods.

She told deputies the dogs belong to a man in the mobile home park.

The deputy said since he did not see the dog attack and because the dogs could not be found, there was nothing he could do.

She was advised to see a magistrate.
