Police blotter: Two men, woman and child found nude in bed

A 75 year old Pawleys Island woman said she was at the home of her 74 year old boyfriend June 7 when he decided to go to bed at about 8 p.m.

The woman said she later looked in her boyfriend’s room and saw he was in the bed with another man, a woman and a 4 year old girl.

She knew her boyfriend was nude and she thinks the other two adults were also naked but they had covers over them.

The complainant said she heard the little girl say she did not like having all her clothes off.

The woman left the bedroom but returned a few minutes later and did not see the little girl.

She assumed the child was hiding in a closet.

The complainant said she thinks the man in the bed with her boyfriend is 18 years old and the woman — believed to be the mother of the child — is in her 20s.

The case is still under investigation.

Wedding rings discarded with pants

A 33 year old woman said her wedding ring worth more than $4,000 was thrown away by the staff of Waccamaw Community Hospital June 5.

The woman said the ring was in her pants pocket when she was taken to the hospital to be treated for a broken foot.

The doctors had to cut her pants off of her and she was sedated while she “had her bones put back in place,” the report states.

Once she realized she no longer had her pants and that she had placed the ring in the pants pocket, she called the hospital and an internal investigation occurred.

It was determined her pants had been thrown away and “the cleaning crew was busy that day and did not check her pockets,” the officer wrote in his report.

The woman was advised of the civil process she could take to help recoup her loss.

Stolen boat motor cover

Someone took an $869 boat motor cover from a boat that is for sale in front of Pawleys Island Outdoor June 8.

A worker at the business said he noticed the theft while cutting grass.

Daycare theft

The owner of The Clubhouse, a daycare facility in Pawleys Island, reported $210 was missing.

She said the money was missing from a desk drawer.

The woman said earlier this year $110 was taken from the same drawer but she did not report that incident.

The complainant said cash has also been stolen from a daycare she owns in Georgetown. She feels a caregiver may be to blame for the thefts.

Fake FaceBook account

A 28-year-old Andrews woman said a stranger opened up a FaceBook account using her picture.

She said she found out when the impostor began sending “unappreciative” emails to people she knows.

She said the account was deleted when she reported it to FaceBook but she is not satisfied with the way they handled it.

She wants law enforcement to trace the IP address.

Docks vandalized

A man whose company was hired to build some docks in the 4100m block of Highway 17 Business in Murrells Inlet reported vandalism June 9.

The man said the work was almost complete when someone cut the ropes, causing them to float free from the posts.

One of the docks was cut in half with a chainsaw, the man reported.

There is nothing to tie anyone to the crime.

Stolen kayaks

Deputies met with a man in the 1600 block of Waccamaw Drive in Murrells Inlet June 10 who said two kayaks were stolen from the house he was renting.

The man said the kayaks were rented from a store in Myrtle Beach.

The preceding reports, compiled by Scott Harper, were collected  from local law enforcement offices.
