The following reports were collected  from local law enforcement offices:

A woman from Lomax Court in Murrells Inlet got into a fight with her boyfriend Dec. 19 after he received a text message from another girl.

The woman said she was packing her things to leave when her boyfriend pleaded with her to stay.

She said he grabbed  her arms and when she pushed him away, she was struck on the face.

She had a swollen eye but said she did not want to press charges.

The man said the text was from his children’s mother.

The man’s mother was on the phone with her son when the incident occurred, so she drove to their house.

When asked if she had been assaulted  by the woman, the man’s mother said “she knows better than to fight me.”

When the woman’s boyfriend was asked if he had been assaulted he said “no” but added his girlfriend “is a spitter.”

The man was arrested  for criminal domestic violence.

Suspicious photography

A woman from Tyson Drive in Pawleys Island called 911 Dec. 18 to report an unknown person was photographing her.

The woman told officers she is a recent rape victim and while she was walking her dogs, someone in a pickup truck took a picture of her.

She said she is scared because she feels it could be related to the rape case.

Too much light

A light in the neighborhood was apparently too much for a man who lives on Archer Road in Pawleys Island.

A woman said the man was banging on her door and  was cursing at her to turn off the light that was shining in his house.

The woman showed officers the light the man was referring to is a street light and was not on her property.

She said she thinks the man was intoxicated when he came to her house.

The deputies cleared the scene but were called back about 40 minutes later because the man was reportedly shining a spotlight in the woman’s window.

The man admitted to deputies he had been drinking and had shined the light in the woman’s house.

He was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Car breakin

He said a GPS unit, briefcase and wallet were taken. He said the wallet contained some important cards and receipts.

Ex-husband problems

A woman from Kensington said she woke up Dec. 18 to find her estranged husband standing at the foot of her bed watching her.

She said he used a key to let himself in.

She was told he had been sleeping in her driveway for several hours and was there to get some clothes.

The man gave the key to the house to his wife and left.

No charges were filed.

CBHS forgery call

A Carvers Bay High bookkeeper reported finding a counterfeit $50 in some money collected from a class in the school.

The money was being collected from students the upcoming prom. Only one student had given the teacher a $50. He is listed as the suspect in the case.

A four-wheeler which was left unattended at the Sampit Community Park during the Sampit Christmas Parade Dec. 12 was reported stolen.
