Police blotter: Pepsi can as a weapon

Deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 3300 block of South Fraser Street Jan. 28.

A man said he and his wife were arguing about the cleanliness of the house when she picked up a Pepsi can and threw it at him. The man was able to dodge the flying can and it struck the wall.

The woman then stated scratching her husband on the face, the report states, causing some minor bleeding.

The woman says her husband placed his hands around her neck in an attempt to choke her during the altercation.

It was determined the woman was the “primary aggressor” so she was arrested for criminal domestic violence.

Theft from inmate boyfriend

A man filed a report Jan. 27 claiming his ex-girlfriend stole money from his bank account while he was incarcerated at the County Detention Center.

The man said he was in jail for about three weeks starting in mid-May. He said during that time the woman wrote a $3,300 check to herself from his account without permission.

The man said he does not want to press charges. He only wants the money to be repaid.

Unruly teen

A Plantesville woman called deputies Jan. 27 because her 14-year-old daughter “was out of control and not listening to her,” the report states.

She said her daughter was supposed to be on restriction for getting suspended from school. She said the teen got mad and started throwing items in the house.

A report was filed to be used in court.

The theft occurred Dec. 7 when a suspect placed a case of beer and bag of dog food in the cart and then walks out the door with the merchandise without paying.

As of the time the report was written the suspect had not been identified.
