A woman from Bayview Drive reported her home was attacked by a paintball shooter June 2.
The woman said the vandalism occurred while she was at work.
An officer reported seeing green and yellow paintball marks on the front door, the siding and on the porch.
Two vacant homes in the neighborhood were also shot.
Love bites
An Alex Alford Ave. man called police and EMS May 31 after he was allegedly bitten by his wife.
During interviews police were told by the couple an argument between them erupted when a female acquaintance of the man drove by their house.
The man reportedly called his wife a name and balled up his fist.
That’s when she allegedly bit him on the arm which was bleeding when police arrived.
The woman was charged with criminal domestic violence.
Spitting patient
Doctors in the Georgetown Memorial Hospital emergency room were forced to place a mask on the face of a 60 year old male patient May 31 to get him to stop spitting on workers.
When police arrived, they could hear the man yelling and saw he was being held by two security guards and a male nurse.
The nurse said the man was highly intoxicated and was spitting on him.
The man was arrested and was taken to jail charged with disorderly conduct.
Stolen church van
A 15-passenger Dodge Ram church van belonging to Tabernacle House of Prayer on Seaboard Street was reported stolen May 29.
Someone reported seeing the inoperable van being pulled by another vehicle on West Front Street.
So far, police have not located the vehicle.
Punched in the mouth
Deputies were sent to a home on Ferguson Drive in Pawleys Island June 1 because of a domestic violence incident.
A 31 year old woman said she was on the front porch when her boyfriend rode up on a bicycle.
The two began to argue and he allegedly punched her on the mouth.
The deputy reported seeing a bloody abrasion on the woman’s lip.
The man says the woman slapped him first and then he swung at her but missed.
She said she received her injury when she fell on the ground.
Since it could not be determined who started the altercation, both were arrested.
Stolen car part
A man who parked his Toyota pickup truck in the Murrells Inlet storage building parking lot noticed the vehicle was making a lot of noise when he picked it up May 30.
Upon inspection, he discovered the two catalytic converters had been cut off from underneath the vehicle.
Signs stolen
An employee of Nance’s Creekfront Restaurant reported May 29 two banner signs had been taken from that location.
The vinyl signs, which advertised the business now serves lunch, were hanging at the main entrance when they were taken.
Another employee said she saw a woman in a white pickup truck take the signs.
Gun and other violations
A deputy reported seeing a speeding vehicle on Choppee Road May 30.
The officer activated his blue lights and the driver — a 35 year old Hemingway man — pulled over.
The officer saw a handgun on the car seat, so the driver was placed in handcuffs for protection.
Some open beer cans were also found inside the truck, the report states.
Through a computer check it was learned the passenger — a 32 year old Hemingway man — had a warrant out for his arrest.
It was also determined the driver is a convicted felon meaning it was illegal for him to possess a gun.
