A 21-year-old woman said she was attacked by her boyfriend at his home on Haven Drive March 9.
She said she was resting in her 19-year-old boyfriend’s bedroom when he walked in and started yelling at her, telling her to get out of his room.
The woman walked into the living room with her boyfriend close behind, yelling at her continuously.
When she picked up the phone to call 911, the man allegedly punched her in the face several times while she was holding her baby.
The man fled the scene before deputies arrived.
Shot fired at dogs
A woman from Club Circle in Pawleys Island said she let her two dogs out of her house March 8. A couple of minutes later, she heard gunfire.
When she looked out, she saw “two figures” walking through the woods behind her house.
Her dogs were not injured.
Unruly children
While on patrol March 1, an Andrews police officer saw a large group of children — mostly under the age 12 — walking on Jones Ave.
The officer heard two of the kids yelling profanity while threatening each other so he walked over to them. They continued to act up, so they were both detained for disorderly conduct.
Disorderly bar patron
Andrews police were sent to Sarah’s Nightlife because of a disorderly 34-year-old Conway man March 7.
By the time they arrived, the “extremely intoxicated” man was outside the club walking down the road.
He said there had been an altercation in the club, so he left to find a pay phone to call his aunt to pick him up.
The man changed his story a couple of times, so the officer asked for his aunt’s phone number. He called the number given and it was not then man’s aunt.
The man gave the officer two more numbers to try which were also wrong.
A few minutes later, a woman arrived but said she was not his aunt although she was there to pick him up.
The officer did not allow him to leave because he was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and for providing false information to police.
Niece assaulted
A 24-year-old woman said she has been living with her uncle in Murrells Inlet for about eight months. On March 10, the two got into an argument and he allegedly hit her in the mouth while she was holding her 20-month-old child.
The woman’s uncle was in his bedroom when deputies arrived. He appeared to be intoxicated. He said they had both been drinking and claims the hit was an accident.
He was arrested for simple assault and battery.
The preceding reports, compiled by Scott Harper, were collected from local law enforcement offices.
