An 11 year old girl said she was rollerblading on Aspen Loop in Pawleys Island June 19 when a man she does not know drove by her slowly and waived.

She said he drove by her several times, so she ran to a group of people on the golf course and used her cell phone to call her father.

She said she did not see the man after making the call.

Deputies searched the area but the man was not found.

Machete attack

Police responded to the Georgetown Memorial Hospital emergency room June 18 where 43 year old Prince Street man was being treated. Officers were told the man was attacked by a 47 year old man with a machete.

During questioning, it was determined the two men got into a fight over a drink.

The injured man picked up a rake and swung at the older man who then used the machete to hit the younger man on the hand.

Both men were charged.

Suspicious fire

A fire inside an empty mobile home on Hilliard Street in the  Graves community was determined to be suspicious by fire officials.

Fire officials say the mobile home had no electricity and the front door was unlocked when they arrived at about 2 a.m. June 20.

A neighbor reported seeing a man walk away from the trailer about 10 minutes before he saw the flames. Because of the darkness, he was unable to get a description of the man.
