A female employee of Bi Lo in Litchfield is accused of stealing from the store.
A manager told deputies Sept. 24 the female worker took four $100 gift cards for her own personal use.
When confronted the woman reportedly admitted to the theft in writing.
She was charged with petit larceny. She was also fired and warned to stay away from the store.
Teen tries to burn house
Officers were sent to a Ford Street home June 26 because of a 15 year old girl who was allegedly trying to burn down her family’s home.
The girl reportedly got mad when her brother bumped her glasses and the argument got out of hand.
The teen reportedly went to the bathroom and soaked some paper in rubbing alcohol.
Her mother walked in when she was attempting to set the paper on fire.
When the deputy asked the teen if the argument was worth burning the house down, she said “yes,” the report states.
She was arrested for attempted arson and placed in a juvenile holding cell until she was released to her mother.
Father threatened
A 16-year-old girl reportedly got “sassy” when her father told her to clean up a mess she made in the kitchen Monday morning.
When her father took her cell phone from her, the teen started to fight him to get it back.
The teen reportedly grabbed a small knife and threatened her father.
The teen was arrested after admitting she had the knife. She also said she told her parents she hoped they would die.
Suspicious photo taker
Three McDonald Road residents called 911 June 23 to report a suspicious person.
A man stopped his car in front of their houses and started taking pictures.
One woman said the man drove behind her house and took more photos.
The complainants were advised to call 911 again if the man returned.
Forgery or payment?
A 23-year-old Georgetown woman was arrested for stealing a 55 year old Choppee man’s checks and forging his name so she could cash them.
However, the woman told deputies she did not steal. She said the man gave her blank checks when she let him touch her.
The woman said she never had sex with the man but she allowed him to touch her various body parts in exchange for the checks, which she signed.
Recycling Center threats
A man who oversees the County Recycling Center on Grate Ave. in Pawleys Island called deputies June 24 because of threats allegedly made by a 78 year old man.
The worker said the man has stopped at the recycling center several times trying to take away metal objects.
He was repeatedly told scavenging is against the county rules. On June 24 when the man tried to take a hot water heater someone had discarded, the worker warned him again.
This time the man got mad and said “step outside the gate and I will beat your fat (butt),” the report states.
The man then drove away but the worker was able to provide deputies with his license tag number.
Broken car window
A man who lives on St. James Street in Georgetown reported his front driver’s side car window was broken out Saturday night.
The man from the 400 block said nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle.
