A 33-year-old man is accused of criminal sexual conduct with a minor for allegedly having sex with a 14 year old girl on five different occasions.
The girl told her mother June 6 that the incidents involved her aunt’s boyfriend. She said she had a crush on him and the incidents were consensual.
The teen said three of the incidents happened in the woods when they were supposed to be riding a 4-wheeler, one encounter happened in the man’s car and once inside the house.
The case was forwarded to an investigator to determine if charges will be filed.
Domestic attack
A Murrells Inlet woman who had a change of heart and rescinded a restraining order she had against her 37 year old boyfriend was attacked by that man inside her home June 8.
The woman said her on-again-off-again boyfriend showed up at her house after 11 p.m. and busted through the back door.
She said he hit her several times, dragged her through the house and turned a mattress over on top of her.
The woman was able to dial 911 but did not say anything so the man would not know she had made the call.
When deputies arrived and saw the woman’s injuries, the man was arrested and transported to jail.
Vandals on a bridge
A 51 year old Georgetown man said he was driving under the Maryville Bridge at about 6:30 p.m. Monday when he heard a loud bang.
He then saw four males on the bridge looking down at him.
The man’s vehicle was not damaged.
The four teenagers who were on the bridge were detained by police but were released when the man decided not to prosecute.
One of the teens admitted throwing a rock off the bridge.
Golf course trespasser
Deputies met with a man at River Club Golf Course in Pawleys Island Saturday who said they have had problems with a 91 year old man trespassing on the course for years.
The officer saw the man in a golf cart near a pond.
He admitted he has been asked to stay away but said retrieving golf balls was his only activity.
The man said he was tired of being harassed and promised not to return.
Mom/daughter dispute
A woman on Sailfish Drive in Garden City called deputies because of problems she was having with her 31 year old daughter.
The woman said she took her daughter’s cell phone from her because her daughter has a drug problem.
She said she pays her daughter’s cell phone bill so she took it to try to find out the name of her drug dealer.
The daughter got mad and called 911.
There were no threats made and no one got hurt.
The complainant said her daughter needs to get in rehab.
The younger woman said her mother is too controlling.
Mother/son dispute
A woman from McNeil Lane in Pawleys Island called deputies Saturday because her 18 year old son was being disrespectful towards her.
She said he stays out all night gambling and refuses to get a job.
The woman said she does not want him living in the house any longer because he has a child he needs to be supporting.
She also said he has been driving a vehicle registered in her name with no insurance and she is “tired of it.”
The woman said Saturday’s argument began because she took the license tag off the car so it could not be driven.
The man admitted what his mother said was true.
The woman was told she should see a magistrate.
The preceding reports, compiled by Scott Harper, were collected from local law enforcement offices.
