Deputies were sent to Telfair Road in the Beneventum community Sunday afternoon because a 12-year-old girl had been shot several times with a BB gun.

The suspect is a 13-year-old boy.

The girl said she, the suspect and others were playing cops and robbers in the woods. She was a robber and the 13-year-old was a cop.

She said he shot her four times with the BB gun causing bleeding on her shin, a wound near her rib cage and two other injuries.

The girl did not require EMS treatment.

The shooter was gone when deputies arrived.

Gas bought with hot cards

A Pawleys Island man said he was at a party in Pawleys Retreat Nov. 21 when someone entered his car and stole multiple credit and debit cards.

He said he did not know the cards were missing until two days later. He immediately called the bank and learned the cards had been used at area gas stations to the tune of $162.

A clerk at one of the stations was able to provide deputies with the name of the man who used the card at that location. He is reportedly from Pawleys Island as well.

The investigation into the matter continues.

Guns stolen

Two guns have been stolen from the home of an Indian Hut Road man.

The 23-year-old man said he discovered a 12 gauge shotgun was missing in late October. He noticed a rifle was gone on Nov. 26.

He believes a man who lives on the property where the guns were located is responsible for the theft.

Hearing amplified voices

Deputies were sent to Powell Road Nov. 29 where they met with a 23-year- old man who reported people “have been talking to him with a microphone making him do things he does not want to do,” the report states.

The man said the voices were telling him to call the police to his home so he could shoot them.

“He stated that someone was standing outside talking about him and coming into his residence at night talking about him,” the deputy wrote. “He stated he would shoot them if he had to and if law enforcement got in the way, they would be shot too.”

The man said he believes the deputies are the ones harassing him.

The man was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Unpermitted taping

A man who now lives in Newport News, Va. is accused of secretly videotaping sex with his wife when they were living in Murrells Inlet in the early 1990s.

The woman — who was 34 when the recordings took place — met with investigators Nov. 28.

She said she discovered the tapes while she was at his home.

The woman said “she was not awake during these acts and they were not consensual,” the report states.

A followup investigation was expected to take place.

Gas tank theft

A man who owns a vacant lot in the 4300 block of Highmarket Street said someone stole a 500 gallon tank that was attached to a trailer. The theft occurred Nov. 23.

He went to a local recycling center and found the tank and trailer had been purchased by the recycler.

An employee said two men sold the items to them that same day.

The owner said he will pursue charges once the suspects are identified.

Information  is subject to change as the investigation proceeds. Individuals arrested and/or charged have not been convicted.
