A 29-year-old Andrews-area woman called 911 saying she had been assaulted while at a party on Anderson Drive Saturday night. But, other party-goers told deputies the caller was the one causing the problems.

The woman said “for some unknown reason, two girls at the party assaulted her” and she ran and locked herself in a room, the report states.

Others said the woman had been drinking too much and was picking fights.

The woman’s fiancé told a deputy he had asked her to slow down on the drinking. That is when she reportedly got upset and started getting louder and louder. She allegedly started attacking her fiancé and another woman. The report states she spat in her fiancé’s face.

The woman’s fiancé said he wanted to press charges, so she was arrested.

Man threatens family

A man from Seleaner Drive in Georgetown said his 37-year-old brother was threatening to kill everyone inside his home Jan. 13.

He said when he returned home from a club his brother started arguing with him for no reason. He said the argument continued until it woke up their parents. That is when the alleged threats were made.

The man was arrested.

A woman from Crappie Court in Harmony Hills said she heard a loud noise outside her home at about 12:45 am. Sunday. When she looked outside she saw her ex-boyfriend using a baseball bat to beat the windshield of a car she had borrowed from another man.

He had already busted the rear window out of the vehicle.

The woman said her ex had been arrested the day prior for domestic violence and he was mad at her.

The owner of the car said he wanted to press charges.

Choking leads to arrest

A 58-year-old Pawleys Island man, arrested Jan. 12, is accused of choking his girlfriend to the point she passed out.

When deputies arrived at the Ferguson Drive home, the woman said they were arguing because he got home late and did not cook for him.

She said he was speaking to her in a disrespectful manner and she was not going to take it.

When she was sitting in a chair he started choking her.

The arrest was made when the man was unable to explain the marks the officers saw on the woman’s neck.

Information is subject to change as the investigation proceeds. Individuals arrested and/or charged have not been convicted.
