A man was arrested after attempting to rob someone at plastic knife point at the Murrells Inlet Wachovia ATM Thursday.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Russell Goodale said 24 year old James Campbell, of 4310 Lotus Ct. was arrested Thursday night charged with attempted armed robbery.
Campbell was arrested after he demanded money from a patron at the bank's ATM while holding a white plastic knife, Goodale said.
When the victim saw the weapon Campbell was holding, he refused to hand over any cash. Campbell fled the area on foot into the woods behind the bank, said Goodale.
The Bloodhound Team and investigators responded to the bank and began tracking Campbell. The dogs led the team to Campbell’s residence where the arrest took place.
