More details have been released about a stabbing incident in Andrews than was first reported on the Georgetown Times’ website Monday morning.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a 49-year-old man was stabbed, allegedly by his wife, at a home on James Drive.

The man told deputies he was on a couch when his 35-year-old wife stabbed him on the right thigh and then took his wallet.

She then left the house.

The man said he went to the bathroom and saw his leg was bleeding profusely, so he walked to a neighbor’s house to call 911.

While officers were talking to the man as he was being treated in the ambulance, they received word his wife was on the porch of a home on Jones Ave.

They responded and found the woman. She was placed under arrest.

At the jail, investigators questioned her about what happened.

She reportedly denied stabbing her husband and said she knew nothing about a knife.

She then asked for a lawyer, the report states.

She was charged with assault and battery with intent to kill.

Ecstasy possession

A deputy made a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island May 23 and, while conducting the investigation, asked the driver if there was anything illegal in the car.

The driver said “no” but to be sure, the officer had the drug dog sniff the vehicle. He received a positive alert.

A pocketbook in the back seat was picked up by the deputy who found a pill bottle containing two ecstasy pills.

The purse belonged to a 46-year-old Darlington woman who was arrested.

Woman reportedly involved

in two incidents

A  46-year-old Choppee man was arrested on domestic violence charges Sunday morning.

The man’s girlfriend  had a bloody cut underneath her eye when officers arrived.

She said her boyfriend punched her in the face during an argument.

The man said his girlfriend was cursing at him, so he pushed her out of the room.

This incident occurred the same day the man was attacked and robbed while he and his girlfriend were at a party near the former Choppee High School.

The man said his girlfriend was in the roadway when she called him over to her.

The man said when he responded, he was “jumped” by a 31-year-old man.

The younger man reportedly pointed a gun at the alleged victim and said “I should...kill you.”

The man was hit on the head and the gunman took $60 from him.

The victim said he had been drinking and could provide no additional information.

He also said he felt like he was “set up” by his girlfriend so she could get drugs from his attacker.

Drunk taxpayer

An operator at Central Dispatch reported receiving a 911 call from a man who was at a location on Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

The man had been ejected from a taxi when it was discovered he had no money to pay the fare.

The man asked the dispatcher for a deputy to give him a ride.

The man was informed all the officers on the Waccamaw Neck were tied up on another call.

The man hung up and called back a few minutes later asking if a deputy was on the way to give him a ride.

When he was told “no” the man said “what...else are they doing? I pay taxes.”

Once deputies made it to the man, they saw he was intoxicated.

He was arrested for public drunkenness and misuse of 911.

The man may be a taxpayer, but not locally since, according to the report, he is from Orlando.

The preceding reports, compiled by Scott Harper, were collected  from local law enforcement offices.
