The following reports were collected  from local law enforcement offices:

Brother passes fake cash

An Andrews woman said she was given a $20 bill Oct. 16 because he owed her some money.

When she told him it did not look right, the 33-year-old man said it ad been accidentally washed in a washing machine. The woman put the money in her wallet and forgot about it.

She later stopped by a store and asked a clerk to mark the bill to see if it was counterfeit. It turns out, it was fake.

The  money has been placed into evidence.

Possible DUI accident

A Myrtle Beach woman is accused of possibly driving under the influence that resulted in a traffic accident on Highway 17 in Maryville Oct. 15.

The crash occurred in front of Dollar General and the woman’s vehicle sustained severe damage.

When EMS arrived, the 32-year-old woman was having a seizure.

According to police, an open empty can of beer, as well as a bottle of pills were found inside the woman’s car.

A blood sample was taken to determine if she was intoxicated. The results were not noted on the report.

Intoxicated teen

While providing security at the Oct. 16 Georgetown High football game, an officer was told there was a 15-year-old girl drunk in the bathroom. A female staff member assisted the teen out of the restroom. Her eyes were bloodshot, she was slurring her words and was unsteady on her feet.

The girl was escorted to an ambulance and then was transported to the hospital because of her sickness.

Police and the girl’s mother have tried to get her to tell where she got the alcohol but she refuses to tell.

She was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Boat, trailer stolen

Investigators still have no idea who stole a $19,000 boat and trailer from a home on Murrells Inlet Road.

The owner said she discovered the theft when she returned home Oct. 17.

Stolen car

A man from Jerusalem Drive said he was at Club Isis in Pawleys Island Oct. 17 when his car was stolen.

He said he walked into the club at about 10:30 p.m. and when he started to leave at about 1 a.m., his car was gone from the parking lot.

There was some broken glass on the ground in the area where he left the car.

He told deputies his cousin saw someone driving that car later in the day Oct. 17 on Ocean Highway. He said there is a possibility the car is in the Sampit area.

The car, he said, has bullet holes on the rear driver’s side quarter panel.

Also that night, a 17-year-old Pawleys Island woman said her car was broken into while parked at Club Isis.

She said the faceplate of her radio was taken but the radio was intact.

Her purse containing $45 in cash, an Ipod and a digital camera was also taken.

Another purse, belonging to another woman was also taken. It contained $75 in cash.

The women said as they were arriving at the club, a group of males standing by a van shouted “We are going to steal your Honda.”

So far, no arrests have been made.

Contributing charge

A worried Duke Street woman called police at about 3:30 a.m. Oct. 17 after she discovered her 14  year old daughter was not in her bed.

The woman said the teen went to bed at about 9:30 p.m. and she had no idea she was gone until she looked in her room.

While police were on the scene, a car drove up and the girl got out. The driver of the car then sped away.

Police chased the car and made a traffic stop on Highmarket Street. The driver, a 19-year-old man, admitted he picked the girl up and took her to his house.

He was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and curfew violations.
