FUNERAL SERVICES

Michael Hatchell

Conway. Michael Hamilton Hatchell, age 69, of Conway, S.C. passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Conway Medical Center.

Mr. Hatchell was born in Florence, S.C., a son of the late Lex and Virginia Fields Hatchell. 

He retired from the City of Conway Fire Dept. and Horry County as an EMS Dispatcher. 

Mr. Hatchell was a Mason, Shriner and an active Member of Trinity United Methodist Church. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Hatchell.

Surviving are his wife, Madelyn Causey Hatchell of Conway; a son, Heith Hatchell (Kellie) of Conway; four daughters, Cathy Hucks (James) of Myrtle Beach, Delores Dickerson (Larry) of Conway, Sharon McMeekin (Howard) of Pawleys Island, and Karen Rush (Eddie) of Conway; 10 grandchildren, Tripp Hucks (Danielle) of Conway, Briggs Dickerson (Blair) of Myrtle Beach, Hunter Dickerson (Heidi) of Conway, Marley Dickerson of Conway, Jessica Rogers (Bob) of Conway, Wren McMeekin (Kelli) of Conway, Matt Palmer (Suzanne) of Myrtle Beach, and Josh Rush, Reid Hatchell, Reagan Hatchell, all of Conway; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carl Bartlet Jr. of Columbia, S.C.

 Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Sandra Stevens Poirel and Rev. Roy Kosin officiating. 

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Goldfinch Funeral home, Conway Chapel.
