Wayne Carson
Wayne C. Carson, age 77, of Murrells Inlet, S.C. has gone home to be with his Lord on Friday, January 18, 2013 at his residence.
Wayne was born in Trenton, N.J. in 1935. He was raised by his parents, Robert Edwin and Ilys Fritz Carson in Manmouth Junction, N.J.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Carson & Ilys Spearling; and his brother Arthur.
Survivors include Susan, his loving wife of 50 years; his sister, Linda, and husband Carl Walker of New York; his sister, Cathy, and husband Arthur Ciccolo of Connecticut; his sisters-in-law, Charlotte Carson of Florida, and Martha and husband John Bittle of New Jersey; his brother-in-law, Peter Rahm of Vermont; and many nieces, nephews, and grandnephews, as well as his dogs Foxy Lady and Phoebe.
Wayne served in the Army from 1957 to 1958.
He returned home to work for Columbia Carbon Company for 19 years, and then went to Kales Landscape and Design of Princeton, N.J. for 14 years.
He moved to Murrells Inlet and worked for Indian Wells Golf Course until 2012.
Wayne enjoyed golfing in the Indian Wells men’s league, Bowling League in New Jersey, fishing, and boating with friends.
He enjoyed watching all types of sports.
Wayne came to know the Lord through the bible study. He enjoyed Monday and Thursday bible studies with his friends.
He was lovingly cared for by his Hospice nurse John A., aides, Avair V., and Linda W. and retired nurses Linda Ducharme and Wendy A.
He was also cared and prayed for by all of his friends and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
The Family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Heart Association, Hospice Care of South Carolina, or a charity of your choice.
