Two people remained hospitalized Tuesday following a traffic accident in Maryville late Monday night.
Georgetown Police Capt. Nelson Brown said 19 year old A.J. Lambert of McDonald Road was driving on Old Charleston Highway at about 9:30 p.m. when his vehicle struck a fire hydrant and overturned.
Both the driver and passenger, Timothy Lambert, were transported to the Medical University of South Carolina for treatment.
A woman identifying herself as a family member on the Georgetown Times Facebook page said both men were in stable condition Tuesday.
“No charges have been filed pending the outcome of the investigation,” Brown said Tuesday.
If any charges are filed, it will not happen before they are released from the hospital.
Brown said there was another vehicle with the S-10 Lambert was driving but it was not involved in the crash.
