Georgetown's Christmas tree now up on Front Street

The Christmas tree in Francis Marion Park will be lit on Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.
Georgetown city workers spent Friday getting the city’s Christmas tree ready for the holiday season. The 28-foot tree was placed in Francis Marion Park on Front Street. The tree lighting ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 as past of the Georgetown County Christmas Festival which begins with the annual Christmas Parade which begins at 11:30 a.m. To be part of the parade, contact Katie Maleckar at Prince George Framing at 527-8413.
