Students in Ms. Connie Davis’s third grade class at Plantersville Elementary School got right to work early Wednesday morning.

The first two days of school have gone smoothly,

according to Georgetown County School District officials. Of course,

some students were feeling the first day jitters and there were some

tears shed.

Above, Sandy Fusco, left, comforts her son, Alex Fusco, who is in Ms. Baker’s second grade class at Waccamaw Elementary School.
