Casting call for Isopod movie announced

If you have ever wanted to be in a movie, your chance to tryout takes place this week.

Barry Levinson, the director of the movie Isopod which will be filmed in Georgetown, announced Sunday a casting call for extras will take place Saturday.

Tona Dahlquist, casting director for the science fiction thriller, said “all ages and types are needed” to work in the background of the feature.

Anyone interested must present a non-returnable current photo of themselves.

“Photos can be a basic snapshot computer,” Dahlquist said. “We just want it to be very current and look like the individual.”

The casting call will take place from  10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday at the Howard Adult Center on Hawkins Street.

The production company has already opened an office at 712 Front St. Workers there said no interviews are being given at this time about the movie

Once filming begins, it should take about four weeks to complete and will include a lot of water scenes.
