Published Tuesday, February 07, 2012 2:07 PM
A woman and her two children were transported to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston after a one-car accident this morning.
According to S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins, the accident happened at about 8:30 a.m. on Albatross Road, a dirt road off of Highway 521 near Andrews.
Collins said the two children in the car — ages 5 and 1 — were not restrained when the car ran off the road and struck a tree.
Collins did not release any names. He said the accident is still being investigated and it’s currently unknown if any charges will be filed.
