The northbound lanes of Highway 17 in Maryville remain closed as crews work to repair utility lines.

Earlier this evening an 18-wheeler hit a utility pole near Food Lion and knocked it down. Initial reports that the truck overturned were incorrect.

Georgetown Police Capt. Nelson Brown said the truck left the scene and there were no injuries.

Brown said traffic is being rerouted down South Island Road.
