Two Andrews High School students have been arrested after reportedly having an alcoholic beverage on a school bus Sept. 25.

A school official told a resource officer she had footage from the surveillance camera showing the two females — ages 15 and 16 — drinking from a can while on the bus.

The school leader became suspicious after the bus driver said an empty Colt 45 Malt Liquor can was found on the bus. That’s when the tape from the camera was reviewed and the two girls were seen taking turns drinking from the can, the report states.

One of the girls told a deputy she was already on probation and could not afford to get into any more trouble.

Both were charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Vacationers targeted

Two North Carolina men who were in Murrells Inlet had their golf plans interrupted Sept. 24 when someone stole a set of clubs and other items from their vehicle.

The truck was parked on Riverwood Drive and was locked, according to the report.

The golf clubs are worth more than $5,600.

Clothing items and $500 in cash was also reported missing. There are no suspects.

Stolen gas

A 24-year-old man has been charged with larceny after allegedly stealing gas from trucks belonging to Arcadia Plantation.

A plantation worker told a deputy Sept. 25 he had been noticing gas missing from the trucks, so he set up a deer camera to try to see who was responsible for the theft.

The suspect is seen on the video using a hose and 5-gallon container to take the gas.

At first the man denied taking the gas but when he was informed about the video, he admitted to the theft and “apologized for his behavior,” the incident report states.

Garden City trespasser

A woman from the 2000 block of Pompano Drive in Garden City said a man had been trespassing and fishing on the property of two of her neighbors.

She said she told the man he was not supposed to be there and he became irate saying he had permission. The woman contacted the homeowners who confirmed the man was indeed trespassing.

The woman said she was watching one day as the man stared at her neighbor’s car which made her feel uncomfortable. She also said she has pictures of the man on her property.

Another neighbor also said the man was in her yard without permission.

He was no where to be found when the deputy arrived.

Tired of the barking and yelling

An 82-year-old man from Wolf Drive is accused of threatening to shoot his neighbor’s dog because it barks continuously.

The dog’s owner called 911 Sept. 25 and said while she was at school someone cut the dog’s leash and the pet was taken by animal control.

The woman said this is a constant problem with her neighbor who often cusses at her kids.

She said she has reported the problem previously but “the Sheriff’s Office is doing nothing about it,” the report states.

The man said he is tired of the woman’s kids walking on his property and yelling at him.
