Jump Rope for Heart
Published Friday, February 15, 2013 6:29 AM
It’s called Jump Rope for Heart and it is held each year but, these days it can be called Jump Rope and hula hoop for heart. Kensington Elementary School participated Thursday to raise money for the American Heart Association. As of midday Thursday, the top money collector was kindergartner Emma Pope, who had collected $200. Students ask family and friends for donations. Students also colored pictures for the wall of the gym and put a name in each heart of the person in whose honor they were raising money. Pictured, Rivers Ramsing jumps through hoops being held by Sidney Baker and Colson Bryant.
