The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is looking for whoever is responsible for gunshots that damaged Waccamaw Middle School this morning.

According to Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson, deputies responded to the school at about 4:30 a.m. because of an alarm.

“Once on scene, deputies observed the front entrance door glass to be broken which appeared to be caused by bullet holes. The entrance and the perimeter of the school were secured and cleared. There were no signs entry was made into the building,” Cuthbertson said.
