The weather was nearly perfect and the crowd was excited for the annual Georgetown County Christmas Parade which was held Saturday on Front Street.
With temperatures in the mid 60s, the several dozen parade participants were greeted by thousands of cheering residents and visitors that lined the sidewalks from near East Bay Park to Dozier Street.
Pawleys Island Mayor Bill Otis was the grand marshal for the parade.
Parade organizer Aimee Salmon said Otis was chosen because he is a prominent figure in Georgetown County and he is a great role model for children.
The Sampit Christmas Parade takes place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8.
The Andrews Christmas Parade will be Sunday, Dec. 9 at 3 p.m.
The Plantersville Christmas Parade will take place at 1 p.m. Christmas Day.
